Meet the Maker: Janeesha Doshi – Emotions Personalised

We catch up with Janeesha Doshi, who believes that every person and relationship has a story. Her brand Emotions Personalised gives shape to that story in the form of handmade doodles and personalised gifts.

Emotions Personalised spreads Love, Positivity, Happiness, Motivation, and Laughter via Doodles. This is our vision and mission for the brand started by Janeesha Doshi, a self-taught doodle artist who lives and works out of Mumbai.

“Emotions Personalised is a one-woman army. From taking orders to ideation and conceptualization to marketing and making sure the product reaches the customer, I manage it all, with invaluable support, of course, from my family, for which I feel extremely blessed and grateful.”

You are cordially invited to get to know Emotions Personalised better. Welcome.

What were you doing before you started doing this?

I am a Management graduate from one of the top B schools in Mumbai and a Financial Advisor by profession. I was only a banker before I started Emotions Personalised. Now I do both.

Why did you choose to do what you do?

I was always passionate about art and craft. I decided to ignite my childhood passion for it. Thus, was born Emotions Personalised. It is the perfect outlet for my creativity. It allows me to give shape to people’s emotions. After my day-job of nurturing people’s money, I enter into the world of art and craft. Also, doodling is my caffeine and crafting is my meditation. So what started as a hobby is now a venture.

We are fascinated by names. What’s the story behind your brand name?

Emotions Personalised literally means personalising your emotions. I believe every person, every relationship has a story. I give shape to that story in the form of handmade doodles and personalised gifts.

Which are your best selling products?

My best selling products are the annual planners, doodle frames, magnets, badges, cards, diaries, mugs, and personalised comics.

What kind of people do you create your products for?

My products are for anyone and everyone. Just tell me your story, and I’ll doodle it for you.

What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?

My greatest challenge is to increase the number of people I reach. Another big challenge is to look for printers who can print my designs on a variety of products in custom-driven quantities.

Where do you see your brand three years from now?

I am constantly working towards making my brand bigger. I want to offer Emotions Personalised to more people around the world. I want to support the Make in India initiative. I want to source the materials locally and collaborate with other like-minded Indian Entrepreneurs. Over the next three years (and beyond), I want to do a lot.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

Emotions Personalised is an integral part of my life now. I cannot think of any alternative.
