Fanusta means ‘Master of Art’. This Jaipur-born brand opens doors for its fankaris-master craftspeople, local artisans and contemporary artists on a global stage. Meet them.

When was Fanusta conceptualized and born?

Fanusta was born in 2016 in Jaipur as an e-commerce marketplace to promote the work of local artisans/craftspeople of India.

The name Fanusta is evocative. How did you arrive at it?

The brand is named on two fundamentals in the sphere of handcraft, Fan meaning ‘art’ and Usta symbolising ‘master’. Much like its name, ‘Master of Art’, the Jaipur-born brand works towards opening doors of opportunity and exposure for its fankaris-master craftspeople, local artisans and contemporary artists on a global stage.

Please tell us a little about the core team behind Fanusta, the names of the team members, how old each core member of the team is, and a little about their backgrounds. Also do tell us about the support staff and workers.

The Business Strategist puts down the strategy for each department on the basis of marketing trends and business environment while the role of the directors is finding new channels for business and extending finance.

The different departments are logistics, design, e-commerce, and sales. Logistics team bridges the gap between artisans and customers by delivering handmade products while the design team works as a thread to interweave the client’s imagination with the artisan’s expertise in the craft. The designers create unique products for our discerning clientele.
