What were you doing before you started doing this?

I was working in the corporate sector. I used to be an HR professional.

Why did you choose to do what you do?

My passion for arts and craft and creativity made me look beyond what I was doing in the corporate sector. I spotted an opportunity in this field, which prompted me to quit my 9-5 job and start Home Dazzle.

We are fascinated by names. What’s the story behind your brand name?

I wanted to have a brand name that conjures up the idea of beautiful homes or ways to beautify homes. Thus, was born Home Dazzle.

Which are your best selling products?

Many of our products are loved. But it’s chandeliers, hanging planters, and pillow covers that are most popular.

What kind of people do you create your products for?

My products are all handcrafted. They are made for tasteful folks that see beauty in handcrafted creations and appreciate the love that goes into making them. It is to such people that Home Dazzle appeals the most.

What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?

Not many value and adore handicrafts. Hence, many do not wish to pay for the effort that goes into creating them. Changing this mindset is my greatest challenge.

Where do you see your brand three years from now?

Macramé has started to make a place in the decor of Indian homes. I am optimistic that, very soon, it will become a big part of Indian homes. I am looking forward to putting Home Dazzle at the centre of this growth story and taking it to the next level.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

I used to work in the corporate sector. Had I not chosen to up and leave and start Home Dazzle, I’d most likely still being doing something in HR.
