As part of our long-running Meet the Maker series, we chatted with Ankita in order to get to know PaperCrush better. You are cordially invited to discover what we unearthed.

What were you doing before you started doing this?

Working in a cubicle at Indigo Consulting in Business Development

Why did you choose to do what you do?

I felt a pressing need to introduce the Indian Market to some Luxe Paper Stationery Products that not only look pretty but are also functional.

We are fascinated by names. What’s the story behind your brand name?

Well, it’s all about a love for paper, isn’t it? See, the name says it all. My biggest shopping crush since time immemorial has been stationery products.

Which are your best selling products?

Difficult question, but if push comes to shove, I’d say Baby Milestone Cards, Travel Journal, and Desk Pads

What kind of people do you create your products for?

PaperCrush is for everyone with good taste and the love for stationery. Anyone who enjoys the pleasures of recording and storing precious memories in beautiful ways will find much joy in PaperCrush.

What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?

In our experience, it is the lack of ability in the eyes of the Indian consumer to be able to differentiate and appreciate the advantages of good quality and design versus simply buying on price!

Where do you see your brand three years from now?

We want to make our brand top-of-mind for anything Paper!

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

I can’t imagine doing anything that doesn’t involve Paper!
