Based out of balmy Bangalore, Little Spells is a happy fusion of traditional artisanal craft and contemporary design. A young team of four energized people, Idsah I, Devika V, Srini M, Arun G, run this tasteful brand. Little Spells creates products for people with an affinity for an extraordinary product that is handcrafted and elegantly designed. In addition, if you have a proclivity towards sustainable living, Little Spells with resonate with your heart and soul. Let’s get to know them better.

What were you doing before you started doing this?

The founders are from varied backgrounds including IT, Consulting and Marketing domains.

 

Why did you choose to do what you do?

Our love for design in general and the art and craft in particular, combined with the opportunity to develop products that provide a differentiated experience for its consumers.

 

We are fascinated by names. What’s the story behind your brand name?

We wanted to bring a bit of magic into living spaces of our product users. We went about looking for names that subtly conveyed this message and at the same time preferred one that is simple, modern and personal. Thus came into being the moniker Little Spells.

Which are your best selling products?

We are a new brand and still in the process of bringing out our entire range of Home Decor and accessories products into the market. However, we are very encouraged with the response to our wall decor plates that have caught the imagination of the buyers and doing pretty well.

What kind of people do you create your products for?

We create products for people with an affinity for an extraordinary product that is handcrafted and elegantly designed. In addition, if you have a proclivity towards sustainable living, Little Spells will resonate with your heart and soul.

What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?

The market we operate is fairly crowded. There are some pretty good established brands we are up against. So the challenge really for us is to create that niche, put our products in front of the right customers, and effectively communicate the brand essence. Thankfully, partners like Engrave are helping us on all of these aspects.

Where do you see your brand three years from now?

We are set out to build a brand that celebrates the people behind our products. Our philosophy is to reflect the collective effort of individuals – artisans, designers, and dreamers. We would like to open our own studio-cum-store from where they can all work together to co-create beautiful products.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

We haven’t really thought through this as we are fully committed to seeing this brand grow and are super-focused on ensuring we meet our medium and long-term business goals.
