We chatted with Sunita Singh in order to get to know Bhagat Jewels better. You are cordially invited to the conversation. Welcome.

How many (if more than one) members make up your team?

Bhagat Jewels is an eclectic mix of energetic and creative individuals with a common goal. We comprise Vedram Singh, Prashanto, Shravan, Manoj, Radha, and Sunita Singh.

What were you doing before you started doing this?

I worked as a jewellery designer in a jewellery unit. It’s where I learnt a lot and nurtured and nourished my passion until the birth of Bhagat Jewels.

Why did you choose to do what you do?

Well, fortunately, my passion is also something that helps me create things that other people appreciate and want. What I do now is my passion and love. No surprise, then, that I work really hard at it. I wanted to offer high-end fashion jewelry at fair prices. Thus was born Bhagat Jewels.

We are fascinated by names. What’s the story behind your brand name?

Bhagat means devotee. It comes from the Sanskrit word Bhakti, which means devotion and love towards God. This is the spirit we cultivate and bring to our craft at Bhagat Jewels.

Which are your best selling products?

All our products are special. But our ear-rings seem to be just a tad more so. They happen to be our best selling offering.

What kind of people do you create your products for?

We create our handmade beauties for tasteful women with an eye for distinctive design and a flair for high-fashion at intelligent prices.

What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?

As I am in this industry from last couple of years so, whenever I am faced with challenges, I hunker down and resolve them. There are many challenges that confront us. Many. We just think hard and focus and do our best to get it sorted.

Where do you see your brand three years from now?

My motto is to create great products with my team and bolster our brand with generous helpings of goodwill from the market. Earning the trust of my clients is paramount. This is what will help me grow and cultivate a faithful set of repeat customers that constitute at least 80 percent of our current customer base. I see this as our destination three years from now.

What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?

I love art. I live for art. I am driven to be creative. I have been like this for many years. If I wasn’t doing this, I am certain I would have been an artist of a different kind.
