Meet the Maker: Tejaswini – Elegance
Tejaswini talks to us about her brand Elegance, which started as a school project and ended up as a creative home decor business.
Elegance began as a school project for a child. It was the inspiration to start a business. A string of thoughts followed with passion, heart, and drive. The idea behind ELEGANCE is all about great stories in decor for lovely homes and other spaces. All the products are 100% original, crafted with love and care. We chatted with Elegance in order to get to know them better. You are cordially invited to the conversation.
Where are you located?
We are in Bangalore.
What were you doing before you started doing this?
I work for a school as a Centre Head.
Why did you choose to do what you do?
I love doing creative things. It was suggested that I start something of my own that harnesses this creative energy. Eventually, a love for all things handcrafted is what prompted me to start this venture. It’s where I create a variety of home decor products, including serving trays, magazine holders, multipurpose boxes, coasters, and wall hangings.
What kind of people do you create your products for?
ELEGANCE offers wide range of custom made products for any occasion or spaces. The unique aspect that sets my pieces apart is the Indian art-centric designs I use. These unique prints on items, especially items such as trays is something that is rare and not so easily found in the market. Elegant things exhibit refined grace and suggest maturity. Elegance is beauty that shows unusual effectiveness and simplicity. It is frequently used as a standard of tastefulness particularly in the areas of visual design, decoration.
What are the challenges you face in connection with achieving your goals?
Challenges are many when we start any venture. Most of all, there are very many people who respect and appreciate handmade things.
Where do you see your brand three years from now?
We would like to become the best home decor brand in the country and look forward to forging alliances with more partners and customers.
What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this?
Currently, I am working on a day job. I would really like do this full time.
