Thoughtful Teacher’s Day Gifts

5th September is Teachers’ Day. It’s a day that should be cherished and celebrated. After all, where would we be without teachers? Here are six ways in which you to make the ones who have taught you feel appreciated.

A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide. The best ones hold our hand, open our mind, and touch our heart.  The contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. The universally accepted World Teacher’s Day falls on 5th October. In India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September. This tradition commenced in 1962. It is when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born.

Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician. He dedicated his life to education. His birthday is Teachers’ Day in India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day. He was a man of many good qualities and a favourite teacher among students. It was his request that his birthday should be celebrated as an honourable day for all the teachers in the country. In his book titled, “Political Thinkers of Modern India”, he emphasised the importance of teachers and education in a country like Democratic India, which was still in its early years of development. Keeping this in mind, here are six ways in which to make the ones who have taught you feel appreciated.
